About Us
We set up for the first time in the Spring of 1998 at the Capitol City Public Market. This was before the days of the "Ez Up" tents, at least for us, we had a "put the frame together yourself" and "heaviest canvas walls and roof known to man" tent. But, we were amazed at how much kettle corn we sold the first day and were hooked from that day on. Soon the business grew, we started doing additional events on the weekends like the BSU football games, Eagle Fun Days and even Art in the Park. At the same time I started my Real Estate career with Corey Barton Homes plus was still working full time for Costco Wholesale which I had had since 1988.
Real estate took off about this time so we needed to make a decision, keep doing real estate or sell the concession business...we regretfully, sold the concession business. We found a used push cart in Florida, bought some additional equipment and started a new chapter in our concession sales business right back where it all started...at the Market. Wow how the market had changed! It has almost 250 vendors during the Summer and Boise turns out. We now have 3 cooks and 2 cashier and still have problems keeping up at the market. Many of you started asking, "when are you going to open a shop so we can buy crepes during the week too?" We saved our money all Summer long in 2010, not spending a dime on anything but the necessities. After much thought, prayer and a TON of elbow grease, we opened, "The Creperie" December 8th, 2010. We're constantly trying to be better. Better crepe ideas, recipes, faster service, etc...Our menu board will soon be so full, we'll need two. - Will & Heather |
